Types of Personnel Qualifications

Companion Animal Care Manager

 

01. Qualification Introduce

The Companion Animal Care Manager qualification was developed to cultivate professionals capable of providing One-Health to both humans and animals by objectively verifying systematic and professional theoretical and practical skills regarding companion animals. To meet the subdivided needs of the industrial field, this qualification consists of four sub-schemes: Aromatherapy, Aroma Consultation, Physical Care, and Nutrition, evaluating advanced job competencies in each area. Through this, it aims to produce trusted personnel based on international standards (ISO/IEC 17024) who can comprehensively manage the physical and psychological health of companion animals while strictly observing veterinary boundaries.

03. Certificate Subjects

Basic Veterinary Medicine, Companion Animal Science, Companion Animal Behavior, Companion Animal Aromatherapy, Companion Animal Psychology, Introduction to Companion Animal Massage, Understanding Essential Oils, Companion Animal Environment and Health, Introduction to Companion Animal Nutrition, Digestion and Metabolism, Scientific Counseling Analysis, Hygiene and Ethics

 

04. Requirements for qualification

- Individuals who have graduated from a junior college or higher (or are expected to graduate) and have majored in a relevant field corresponding to each subscheme.
- Individuals who possess at least two years of practical experience in an industry, educational institution, or company related to the subscheme.
- Physical Care: Individuals with basic knowledge of companion animal anatomy and physiology who have completed designated pet massage practical training.
- Aromatherapy: Individuals who have completed basic education in pet physiology and aroma organic chemistry.
- Nutrition: Individuals who have completed training courses related to basic pet nutrition and pet food (supplement) manufacturing.
- Aroma Consultation: Individuals with an understanding of veterinary complementary therapies (like homeopathy) who have completed practical/ethical training in writing consultation logs.

 

05. Examination guide

Primary test : Applicants must take the exam according to the attached application criteria and obtain at least 60 points.
Secondary test : Only those who have passed the primary exam can take the secondary exam.
